Electronic music producer and DJ based in Berlin from New Delhi, India, working under the moniker ELM. The name was inspired by a book he read during his teenage years, where elm trees served as gathering points for traveling artists—places of rest, exchange, and inspiration. That image resonated deeply with him and continues to inform his creative philosophy. He sees ELM as a sonic shelter of sorts—where ideas take root, and contrasts between light and shadow, energy and introspection, are explored through sound.
ELM's work focuses on crafting immersive, narrative-driven experiences through electronic music. Drawing from the more unconventional sides of techno, he blends intricate rhythms with bold lead elements, textured noise, and atmospheric layers. Each composition is designed to guide the listener through a journey—both physical and emotional—using sound as a storytelling tool.
ELM has released music on reputable Indian labels such as Qilla Records and Observant. Additionally, he participated in a workshop organized by Catalyst Institute in Berlin, where he collaborated with musicians from the Rundfunk Symphonie Orchester and performed music with them.
In addition to producing and performing, ELM composes music for film and visual media, where he can explore another dimension of narrative and mood. With over a decade of DJ experience, he's had the opportunity to perform at respected venues and festivals across India and Berlin —experiences that continue to shape his approach to both live performance and studio production. Recently, he played at the legendary Mihn Club in Hong Kong alongside veterans Japanese DJ named Occa. He also had the privilege and good fortune of sharing the console with artist who inspire him such as Svreca, Conceptual,Freddy K, Kohra, Innerworld, Blazej Malinowki, Stanislav Tolkachev, Toxido Mask and Decoder to name a few.
