Fresh from the release of his latest single “Keepsake” with Georgi Kay via Island Records and preparing for his first UK and European tour—including a performance at SXSW London—Melbourne / Naarm artist Dugong Jr is entering a new chapter as one of Australia’s most exciting electronic exports.

Blending house, hip hop and cinematic textures into a genre-bending electronic sound shaped by his Chinese-Australian heritage, Dugong Jr has built a reputation for lush, soulful productions that sit between club music and songwriting.

In 2025, he signed with Island Records, releasing his label debut “Patience” (feat. Jordan Dennis & Connie Diiamond), which received triple j rotation while its music video was selected as RAGE’s Featured Video of the Week. He followed with “Keepsake” (feat. Georgi Kay), further showcasing his emotionally rich approach to electronic music.

The momentum follows a breakout 2024 that saw the release of his debut album Good Time Hotel via Majestic Casual and Sweat It Out. Featuring singles including “Reservations” (feat. Julia Lostrom & Keelan Mak), which premiered on triple j and has surpassed one million Spotify streams, the album helped propel Dugong Jr’s catalogue to tens of millions of streams globally.

A sought-after live performer, Dugong Jr has toured nationally, supported international acts including Chromeo, and delivered two packed showcases at SXSW Sydney 2024.

Currently working on his second album with collaborators including BOY SODA, Mansionair, Lady Wray and Rome Streetz, Dugong Jr continues to push the boundaries of contemporary electronic music while steadily building an international audience.
