Born in Anchieta, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Dreads has built an impressive track record within the Baixada Fluminense music scene. DJing at some of the hottest Baile Funk parties in the state, today Dreads chooses to focus mainly on his independent Rap, R&B, and Trap projects, in which he sings in Portuguese. After long periods living on the streets, Dreads found a way to turn tears into sound. He realised that creating music and being a source of joy within his community were deeply rewarding, and today he stands as a role model to local youth—the ‘cria’. Dreads proudly shares his story with the world, proving that through kindness, work ethic, and dedication, art can shape a true success story.
