Standing at the frontline of the next generation of Chicago legends, DJ Chad delivers Footwork music in its purest form: raw, hypnotic, and built strictly for dancers: rap vocals echo like mantras over fierce bass, restless snares, and shattered percussion - a sound born from confrontation, stripped of excess - formed on motion, feeling, and a clear vision.

While footwork has traveled the globe over the past two decades — much thanks to his father, DJ Rashad (Teklife) — it’s often been hybridized and softened by those not connected to Chi-town. Chad cuts through this noise, holding steadfast to the original essence of the city’s energy while innovating his own signature within the culture.

In recent years, Chad has quietly built a formidable catalog through his imprint together with DJ Corey “NuLegendz,” and on DJ Clent’s “Beatdown House.” In 2026, he made his Moveltraxx debut with “Get It Evryday,” arriving 16 years after his father first appeared on the London label, and signaling a powerful new chapter for the next generation of Chicago footwork artists.
