Di Candido, aka DIDI, is a cultural force in motion. From Brazil to the world, DIDI is a tireless creator—much like their spirit animal, the bee: always building, connecting, and energizing. As a DJ, they deliver a rich and expansive mix of Afrodiasporic club sounds, flowing effortlessly through 90s/00s R&B, afrobeat, house, baile funk, amapiano, and kuduro.
But DIDI’s influence extends far beyond the booth. In Portugal, they are the driving force behind a number of groundbreaking initiatives that center Black, queer, and immigrant experiences. From the art collectives @afro__ntosas and @uniaonegradasartes to the sex- and body-positive party platform @curvycurvs and the creative hub @bee_lx, their work navigates themes of collective (re)territorialisation, queer ecologies and mythologies, and antiracist identity and activism.
Whether on the dancefloor or in community spaces, DIDI continues to carve out space for joy, resistance, and radical imagination.
