Coloray

Coloray is the artistic moniker of Dutch musician, composer, and Intercept Records founder Raynor de Groot. His career began in 2019 with the EP Real Life Cinema, followed by the debut album Future Static which debuted with a live show at Draaimolen Festival. Both releases were nominated for “Album of the Year” by Dutch outlet 3voor12. After touring across Europe and performing at various festivals and venues, including Lowlands, Melt, Fusion and Berghain, he moved to Berlin, where new scenes and creative environments further shaped his work. Coloray’s sound moves fluidly between electronica, ambient, shoegaze, and dance-pop. His music blends introspective songwriting with cinematic electronic production, often carrying a sense of melancholic joy nostalgic yet forward-looking and influences range from synth-pop and EBM to house and experimental electronic music.
