Cobeia

Cobeia is a DJ & record collector from Geneva, living in Berlin.

Always curious to explore sound and a wide range of styles, he unearths gems through intense digging sessions. Traditional & modern African music, outernational, jazz, Afro-funk, post punk, disco, cosmic, italo, wave, electronic, ambient, experimental... are just some of the genres he loves. Music that often features a mix of instruments, synths, and drum machines; a warm analog sound in a computer world.

Cobeia has played at many venues & festivals in Geneva, across Switzerland, Berlin, Thailand, and Vietnam.

He is also the curator/promoter of Ecoutes au vert (EAV), a series of music events that has been running since 2006. Over the years, he has organised many concerts and nights of electro-acoustic, folk, rock, African, no wave, electronic, disco, cosmic, and experimental music.

With EAV, he also runs the "Music for Indoors" guest mix series that has been releasing special listening mixes since 2020. www.soundcloud.com/ecoutesauvert
