Bekarys Seri aka ARYS ÄSSEM (they/them) — a multidisciplinary artist (performance art, curator, DJ, promoter), side project & crisis manager. I have championed the projects bULt Mentaldy Technologiyalary, Kerege Central Asia, participated in the projects ZVUK Collective, Jolda Dance Company, and put in 10 years at the German Theatre Almaty.

When I first found myself in the underground, I understood that this was the foundation of my work: soft power, a strategy towards sustainable communication, solidarity-building and support of the local and regional cultural community of Central Asia.
