Austin James Christ

Austin Thomasson is a Chicago-based visual and sound artist. Together with his wife, he conducts the Flat Earth Film Festival, based in Seyðisfjörður, Iceland, where he is also a member of Heima Art Collective and a contributor to Seyðisfjörður Community Radio. He releases music under Austin James Christ, a project born out of the death of his mother, Sue Jean, to track his journey into grief, and continues as a means to cheekily spit the joy from a life-well-loved back into Mortality’s face.
