Alejandra Morote Peralta

Lima, 1990. Living and working in Berlin.

Alejandra is a Peruvian artist and art director working with video, sound, and text. She uses personal and popular archives to transform their meaning into new configurations. In her artistic practice, she investigates the tender cruelty of the banal, pain, love, and the body.

Her work has been exhibited at Internationalen Kurzfilmtage Oberhausen, Raums Space Kaliningrad, Visions in the Nunnery, The Wrong Biennale, Transcinema, One Minutes Collection, and Bad Art Festival.

Together with Maria Garcia Piaggio, she runs Consuelo Press (est. 2023), an independent publishing house based between Lima and Berlin.
