Nia Gvatua is the driving force behind “Success Bar,” the pioneering LGBTQ+ establishment in Georgia. Existing since the early 2000s and re-opened by Nia in 2017, she has become a key contributor to Tbilisi’s queer cultural scene through her multifaceted artistic projects, including directing drag shows, costume and set design,photography, and videography. Nia hosts her own music show on Mutant Radio and organises monthly events at venues like the TES Club. Collaborates with Bassiani Queer collectives.Known for her mentorship and support within the community, she actively works to nurture queer talent and spaces.
