Our space with its dark green exterior and light wooden benches outside.

Access

Here you can find information about visiting our space, the accessibility of our website and how to get in touch if you need further help.

Visiting the space

  • The space is situated at Weserstr. 166, 12045 Berlin, identifiable by its green exterior and bar-like appearance.

  • The space is louder and busier in the evening. It's quieter during the day when you can hear live radio shows through speakers.

  • The space is not wheelchair accessible.

  • A gender-neutral toilet is available on-site.

  • There are no stroboscopic or animated lights and in the evenings, the lighting is low.

  • Several seating options are available including benches with cushions and low and high stools.

  • The closest metro station is U Rathaus Neukölln (U7), which has a lift (currently working; most recent updates available at brokenlifts.org). From there, it is 10 minutes along the pedestrian path.

  • The closest bus stop is Erkstr. (Bus 166, M41 & M43). From there, it is 3 minutes along the pedestrian path.

  • If you would like assistance during your journey, you can request the VBB-Begleitservice for bus and metro for free.

Accessibility

We are working hard to make our website (refugeworldwide.com) as accessibile to as many people as possible in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1).

We recently carried out usability tests on our website to improve its accessibility which you can read about here.

We have committed to transcribing at least one show a month in order to make our audio output more accessible.

Our website is open-source and available on GitHub. We're always looking for ways to improve the performance and accessibility so feel free to open a pull request if you have any suggestions.
