Painting Music: Kara Walker | gammmarayy

Painting Music takes artists’ works from the realms of painting, sculpture, conceptual and performance art and imagines how their art would sound when translated into music. In honor of Black History Month, today’s show is dedicated to artist Kara Walker.

Some of the core themes of the radio show are the intersections between music and the arts (such as synaesthesia), as well as aiming to be a political program (e.g. addressing social & environmental issues through music and art, as both are inherently political).
