Farhot's highly acclaimed solo albums, Kabul Fire Vol. 1 and Kabul Fire Vol. 2, skillfully blend elements of traditional Afghan music with pop culture. His productions are not driven by orientalist clichés, but rather reflect his profound interest in his Afghan roots. As part of the opening celebrations of the country focus on Afghanistan, Farhot will provide a rare glimpse into his transmusical explorations during one of his exceptional performances.

Producer, artist and founder of Kabul Fire Records, Farhot, has been successfully producing music for a wide range of artists for more than a decade now. He began his career working and touring with singer Nneka and also producing most of her albums to date. Farhot productions - and more so his own releases as an artist - carry his personal signature sound, while not limiting himself to a certain genre or style. Still, it’s safe to say that he’s firmly rooted in hip-hop culture. Farhot is one half of producer duo “Die Achse” alongside longtime-friend and collaborator Bazzazian. His impressive body of work includes productions for artists like Giggs, Kano, Isaiah Rashad, Talib Kweli, Selah Sue, 113, LOC, Haftbefehl, Xatar – and last but not least his own releases of Kabul Fire Vol. 1 & 2 - the latter of which has been honored by The Guardian as their album of the month.

Farhots hochgelobte Soloalben Kabul Fire Vol. 1 und Kabul Fire Vol.2 verbinden gekonnt Elemente traditionell-afghanischer Musik und Popkultur. Dabei bedienen seine Produktionen keine orientalistischen Klischees, sondern sind vielmehr Ausdruck seines tiefen Interesses für seine afghanischen Wurzeln. Der Künstlerproduzent und Gründer von Kabul Fire Records, Farhot, produziert und veröffentlicht seit über einem Jahrzehnt erfolgreich Musik. Seine Produktionen – und noch mehr die eigenen Releases als Künstler – tragen seine ganz eigene musikalische Handschrift, ohne dass sich sein Output auf ein bestimmtes Genre beschränkt. Unbestritten ist dennoch, dass Farhots Schaffen in fester Tradition des HipHops verankert ist. Seine Karriere begann mit dem ersten Nneka Album, er stellt eine Hälfte des Produzentenduos „Die Achse“ zusammen mit Langzeitpartner Bazzazian und sein beeindruckendes Oeuvre umfasst eine Reihe von zu meist internationalen Künstler*Innen wie Giggs, Kano, Isaiah Rashad, Talib Kweli, Selah Sue, 113, LOC, Haftbefehl, Xatar. Zuletzt veröffentlichte Farhot sein zweites Album Kabul Fire Vol. 2 – von den Kritiker*Innen hochgelobt, wurde diese musikalische Hommage an seine Heimat Afghanistan als Album des Monats von The Guardian UK gefeiert.
