Each month Space of Urgency release a profile of a new space on www.spaceofurgency.com. On their radio show, they interview founders to hear background stories on the space, discuss relevant social topics and listen to tracks from related artists.
This month Space of Urgency speak to Derek Debru, the co-founder of Kampala based collective and incubator Nyege Nyege. In addition to organizing ongoing parties and an artist residency, the collective runs two record labels and a multi-day annual festival. At 9,000 attendees, it is the biggest electronic music festival in East Africa.
