On this last show of 2024, Sarj is in conversation with community organizers Nicole (aloti farm e.V.), Sika (Weaving Futures Collective) and Tatu (Climate Justice Berlin Collective) about the critical role of imagination when organizing around issues such as land reclamation, climate justice, decolonization and abolition.
About the guests:
Nicole (she/her) is a self-described "wannabe farmer, founder of aloti farm and occasional community organizer." Her work centers around antiracism, climate and disability justice, decolonial feminism and queer rights. Her goal, both as a farmer and as a community organizer, is to offer safer spaces for people bearing the brunt of our oppressive systems to build community, rest, and reconnect with nature. Sika (she/they) is a community organizer. She takes part in various projects: from saving food and repurposing what is seen as food waste to creating third spaces with the Weaving Futures Collective for marginalised groups to rest and connect, to develop creativity and to cultivate joy. Info.
Tatu (she/her) is a climate justice organiser with Climate Justice Berlin. This year the group focused on imagining what collective care can look like for other movements in the Berlin ecosystem. (Photo by C. Saner). Info.
