100% Surinamese Kaseko | DJ Westfa (r)

Marking Black History Month, we have prepared a special series of eight 100% shows, diving deep into topics such as singer, songwriter, and producer Frankie Beverly, the genres Semba and Kaseko, Afro house history, African liberation songs, and more.

We are also hosting an event at SoundCloud’s HQ on Feb 26th, with a black music history vinyl exhibition, house dancing masterclass and t-shirt sale to raise funds for Focus Congo. RSVP via link in bio.
Lastly, we will broadcast a live recording of Lakuti and New York house music icon Yvonne Turner’s conversation at Bring Down The Walls, hosted at our Niemetzstrasse location last summer. Bring Down The Walls is Lakuti and Tata Sumo’s anti-racist and multi-cultural platform with music at its core.
