Sangeeta Lerner
I am a yoga teacher, sound artist, facilitator, and cultural worker devoted to bridging cultures and generations. My work shares yogic wisdom as an embodied practice for liberation, grounded in the belief that the change we wish to see in the world begins within us. I understand the outer world as a reflection of our inner landscapes, and I hold that the violence and brutality of our times are not merely intellectual problems to solve, but lived realities held in our bodies, shaping our thinking and actions.
My work builds a bridge between the important frameworks and analysis of white supremacy culture characteristics and the practical, lived wisdom of yogic philosophy and practice. I explore how embodied practices—such as breath, movement, sound, presence, and ethical inquiry—can act as antidotes to internalised supremacy, urgency, perfectionism, disconnection, and domination. For me, decolonising is not a concept but a daily practice of body, relationship, and responsibility. My work is dedicated to sharing tools and creating spaces where we can collectively and individually deconstruct with care, accountability, and compassion.
