Leslie García

Leslie García is a Mexican sound artist, experimental electronic musician, and creative technologist based in Mexico and Berlin. As the founder and artistic director of the collective Interspecifics (DAAD Fellows 2025), her work merges art, science, and technology to explore the boundaries of sonic perception and the interactions between the human and the non-human. Her interdisciplinary approach blends innovative technological tools with scientific experimentation, guided by a strong inclination toward minimalism, introspection, and the search for new narratives through sound. Through her project Microhm, Leslie crafts immersive soundscapes that fuse electronic textures, pulsating rhythms, and experimental storytelling that transcends traditional genres. Her live performances are multisensory experiences, where sound design and technological interaction transform space into a unique sonic universe. She has presented her work internationally at festivals, museums, and cultural centers across Europe, the Americas, and Asia, standing out for her ability to connect with audiences through performances that move fluidly between the emotional and the conceptual. Leslie is also an active advocate for artistic and technological education, sharing her knowledge through workshops, seminars, and interdisciplinary collaborations. Her practice invites reflection on the creative potential of sound and its transformative role within contemporary art.
