La Mer

La Mer is a producer, cellist, DJ and composer based in The Hague, The Netherlands. She has a classical background as a cellist, playing with orchestras and improvisation ensembles, as well as extensive work in music production and electronic composition for media. She combines her classical roots with her passion for electronic music and creates her own unique sound. She cherishes the idea that genre isn’t the important part of the music, but the flow and progress. Her productions and mixes lay on the verge between ethereal synth sounds, deep strings and different rhythmic approaches. She is the host of ‘Kaparaad’ on Komrad.net.
