In theory, Karete is what you might call a powerhouse of craic when spinning her dynamic vinyl sets with a strong UK and old-school influence. For her it’s not about surgical precision but all about infectious energy and purest joy on the turf! In practice, Bu is a resident at the legendary soon-to-close Institut fuer Zukunft, where she has been nurturing the next generation of talent through the DJ rehearsal room. Formerly co-organiser of the DRIVE event series alongside her skilled friends, Karete has always championed diverse line-ups with a focus on female artists. When not behind the decks these days, she’s deep in the trenches of festival planning, working her magic on both Nachti and Nachtiville.
