Invia has been mixing records since the early 2000s, garnering a name for himself as a talented and skillful DJ – with sets that meander through ambient, off-kilter, broken-beats, house and grooving as well as atmospheric techno, it’s not hard to see why. His early style was defined by rawness and simplicity, a sound which thrived in the underground back then – at the time he was playing under a different guise, one which became well-known within the East German techno scene. After becoming part of VOITAX in its very early days, he was inspired to wipe the slate clean and start afresh – so began his Invia moniker. Today, he does not like to stick to a particular sound but rather embraces his openness for the diversity of music. He’s at his best when playing long sets – building the night expertly and intensively and showcasing the sheer variety of his record collection.
