Carla Bodegas

Interested in encounters and situations that can occur through sound practices, Carla investigates sound as a language and tool for creating aural spaces through the manipulation of analog and digital synthesizers, field recordings and acoustic sounds with emphasis on texture, repetition and sensoriality. She works across the spectrum of composition/production, live performance and sound installation. She also collaborates with artists from dance, film and theater.

She co-founded the genre-bending group RAKTA. She is half of the transdisciplinary duo FRONTE VIOLETA and also plays in a duo with percussionist/drummer M.Takara. Monthly she hosts "Vela no Vale" at São Paulo's online radio Veneno.
