BamBoy is a multifaceted artist based in Mumbai, renowned for his talents as a music producer, DJ, rapper, writer, and roadshow specialist. Over the years, he has carved a distinct niche within India’s vibrant hip hop landscape, blending an array of sonic influences to craft music that resonates deeply with listeners. As a key member of the Swadesi Movement, a multilingual hip hop collective rooted in resistance and community, BamBoy is committed to promoting cultural diversity and social consciousness through art.
BamBoy's music carries a strong anti caste message, using his platform to challenge entrenched social hierarchies and push back against systemic oppression. His work speaks directly to issues of equality, representation, and liberation, making his voice one of the most urgent and uncompromising in the scene. As a hip hop producer, he has been instrumental in shaping the underground movements of both Mumbai and Pune.
Beyond hip hop, he has also been at the forefront of carving out and shaping the emerging grime scene in Mumbai, helping build a subculture that fuses UK-inspired grit with South Asian street energy.
As a hip hop and grime MC, BamBoy is known for his hard hitting bars, razor sharp wordplay, and the kind of truth bombs that cut straight through the noise. His electrifying presence and lyrical precision have earned him opportunities to share the stage with UK grime heavyweights such as Flowdan, Killa P, and Neffa T, further cementing his position as one of the most dynamic voices pushing India’s underground bass and rap culture forward.
He also runs a community dance initiative called Right to Dance, a movement that reclaims public space and rejects elitist gatekeeping in nightlife culture. Right to Dance breaks down class, caste, and gender barriers, creating a floor where everyone is welcome. Rooted in the raw, rhythmic soul of Mumbai, it celebrates the unfiltered sounds of the streets, the beats born in chawls, crossroads, festivals, and Jayanti. Here, folk traditions are not preserved behind glass; they are remixed, amplified, and brought to the center of the dancefloor. In this space, Koli beats, Dhol Tasha, Parai drumming, and folk theatre sounds lead the charge, a celebration of music that is unapologetic, rooted, and truly of the people
