Aporia Barrage

Stefanie Alisch is a musicologist researching music and dance of the Black Altantic. She focusses on Sound System Epistemologies, the Portuguese speaking realm, Pleasure Politics and DJ & dance cultures. She is writing a book named "Charged! - Electronic Dance Music, Pleasure, and Violence in the African Mega-City Luanda". From 04/2023 Alisch deepens her sound system studies as a research collaborator at the ERC-funded Sonic Street Technologies project of Prof. Julian Henriques at Goldsmiths College London. Besides her scientific career, she's also a knowledgeable dj and is a resident at the 'Dancing Madly Backwards' event at Café Wendel.
