Jefe Marrón

Jefe Marrón - is a passionate selector of Reggae and Dub music, drawing inspiration from the strong influences of Black and Indigenous cultures, along with various musical genres. His connection to his Dominican roots is also reflected in certain selected songs on his playlists.

He grew up in a close-minded area in Southern Germany, where he often felt like an outsider. Through Roots and Reggae, he discovered cultural identity and political awareness. He loves the culture and movement of the sound system and is fascinated by the rhythmic bass sound and the socially critical lyrics. Since 2023, he has been DJing himself, intertwining the roots with the new branches of Reggae and Dub music.
